Chapter 7 - Animation and motion with

Blender

Do you know that even when rendering a single image in Blender, you

handle animation? One of the primary purposes of Blender is to create

animations, and it has lots of features and tools to create motion

graphics.

In this chapter, you will learn how to create an animation using one of

the animation foundations, which is the keyframe. The keyframes allow

us to mark a certain property in time for animation. A key component of

animation consists of having objects with multiple keyframes in a

Timeline. That allows us to work with something called interpolation.

We will cover how to manage and use those keyframes for interpolation-

based animation. Here is a list of what you will learn in this chapter:

How animations work in Blender

Controlling and managing frames and length for animations

Choosing the FPS for animations

Add/Remove and manage keyframes

Creating simple animations with keyframes

Adjusting animation timing

Making linear animations using curves
